The C12 SUPERWARM™ Independent IWI system offers complete compliance with all parts of the Building Regulations 2010 and the Guide to Best Practice – but it is also cost effective, easy and safe to install.

Ease of Installation

No drilling into the substrate as the system is completely independent of it. Simply screw the U-track to the floor and ceiling and friction fit the metal studs in between it.

Range of System depths and U-values

Create a range of insulation depths from 60mm to 190mm by moving the system closer to or further from the wall, thus creating different ‘cavity’ depths with a broad spectrum of U-values.

Exceptional Fire Safety

All specified components have an A1 reaction to fire classification (A2-s1,d0 for plasterboard components). Plus there is a choice of two systems with fire resistance ratings of either EI 30 minutes or EI 60 minutes to BS EN 13501-2 standards.

Moisture Adaptability

The system is designed as a non-capillary active vapour open system, but it can be adapted to become vapour closed by installing an air & vapour control layer (AVCL).

No thermal bridging

Unlike other metal framing systems, all metal framing components are thermally broken and thermally separated from the substrate by the insulated cavity which eradicates thermal bridging. Thermal conductivity is universal and continuous across the system.

Achievable with just 100mm of insulation overall. U-value range of 0.43 to 0.20 W/m²K with insulation depths of 60mm to 150mm.

Fire Resistance Rating

Choice of two systems with documented fire resistances that have been tested by UKAS accredited fire testing organisations to BS EN 13501-2.

Proprietary airtightness membranes with vapour resistance as low as 0.075(MNs/g) for vapour open systems or 24,500 (MNs/g) for vapour closed systems.
